Author Som Soni has written "An Introduction to Aeronautical Structures For Managers" (published by AuthorHouse) to provide a very valuable resource material to technical and nontechnical individuals who have responsibilities in the field of aero structural engineering.
This book is based upon a one quarter course for safety, contracting, maintenance, research and other professionals dealing with related systems engineering. It covers topics such as aircraft design and analysis, performance and their maintenance aspects. It also addresses response characteristics of materials and types of failures in aeronautical structures that include fatigue, creep, fracture, buckling and stress concentration in both conventional metallic structures and composites.
"This book is presented in layman's terms to obtain maximum benefit with minimum effort," Soni says. "Aircraft and spacecraft technology related business is growing exponentially. Those who are dealing with this relevant technology will benefit from this book."
"An Introduction to Aeronautical Structures For Managers" serves as a textbook for students, a reference book for professionals and research leads for researchers. It will also provide important clues to investigators for understanding and avoiding major aircraft structural mishaps. Proceeds from the sales of this book will be used for charitable purposes through nonprofit organizations.
