Author Robert Lockwood underlines how corruption leaps national boundaries, readily finding eager co-conspirators whenever the price is right. In his publication, "A Rouge's Gallery" (published by Xlibris), he reveals to readers a gripping fast-paced read that will captivate them from the very first page to the last.
A definitive high-risk investor, Nikos Rallis's avarice entraps even the savviest members of the international business community. He fluidly skirts legal barriers in Monaco, Switzerland and the United States. His roguish pixie dust suffocates astute targets with outrageous promises of reward. He made use of the obsessive secrecy of Switzerland and strategic purpose of Chinese foreign investment as veiled money-laundering tools for his exploitation of a defense contract in Washington's easy-money climate. But eventually, his chilling gallery of plundered emotions produces a fatal result.
"Machiavelli lacked the more scientific analytical tools employed by today's social scientists, but his keen, empirical observations of human behavior, rendered 500 years ago, never disappoint," Lockwood says. In this book, he shows how there are common motives in manipulating global financial networks for their own personal gain, regardless of nationality. He highlights the nature of ambitious persons, including their greed and their penchant for risks.
