London
Inter-dimensional travel is sometimes considered a farfetched notion in this day and age, but in author Sarah McGee's novel, she asks how would one feel if one were transported to another dimension that happens to be a dangerous and inhospitable place for visitors? In "A Penny for Your Thoughts My Dear" (published by Xlibris UK), author Sarah Mcgee has created a truly engrossing read that captures this very concept.
"A Penny for Your Thoughts My Dear" follows Sandra Jones who only wishes for a better life, but what she gets is to be taken to Álfheimr, a land inhabited by elf-like beings and where things are not what they seem. She manages to escape, but merely ends up swapping old troubles for new ones. She is transported back to her old life in London, and soon finds herself caught up in the politics and conspiracies of her fellow Returned, and used by them for their own ends. Sure it's good to be back, but who can she turn to and can she keep hold of who she is in a world that only gets more confusing and dangerous?
This immersive tale creates a world of fantasy filled with political conspiracies and intrigue. "A Penny for Your Thoughts My Dear" is undoubtedly a compelling read.
