The best ideas are often forged off the beaten path.
What started out as a search for the accurate number of years between two key events in the Bible turned into 12 years of in-depth research. International businessman Jan van Tuyl pens, "A New Chronology for Old Testament Times," a text that is stands out as comprehensive, accurate and unique in its style.
Referencing a wide array of texts including the "Book of Enoch," the "Legend of the Jews," "The Book of Seder" and more, van Tuyl discovered that many events outlined in the Bible actually evolved differently than generally accepted theories.
Based on this diverse range of evidence, "A New Chronology for Old Testament Times" reveals accurate dates and anecdotes about the people who lived during this time, setting it apart from related texts on Bible Chronology
Van Tuyl urges readers to be weary of widely accepted historical truths, impressing upon them that with hard work and a willingness to forge a new path, the answer to any problem can be found.
"There are quite a few problems in the Bible, numbers that don't stack up, ages for kings that don't seem correct," van Tuyl says. "My book gives solutions to these and many others thanks to the fact that I also used non-biblical texts and carefully studied the reason behind these battles and the political reality of the times."
