RANCHU CUCAMONGA, Calif., April 15, 2014 /PRNewswire-iReach/ A Terrifying Haunting, Hidden for Over 25 Years, Can Now Be Told...

For over four years, the Moffitt family had been prisoners in their own home. Denied any semblance of a normal existence, they were left to suffer in secrecy. Even the confines of their house held no sanctuary. Around every corner lurked danger, and in every shadow, evil. They were powerless to fight against their situation. A change in residence could not free them; like a member of the family, their captor would come with them. He wasn't made of flesh and bone, but of the essence of nightmares. Their tormentor was a malevolent presence, unseen but always felt. He became known to the Moffitts as Mr. Entity.

Written by Joie Albrecht as told by Deborah Moffitt, A Deadly Haunting paints a compelling portrait of the Moffitt family's chilling interactions with a demonic entity, capturing the frightening reality of a true haunting that has been hidden for over 25 years.

The Moffitts were a typical American family, until the caretaker of their ailing grandmother performed an ancient ritual, intended for healing but instead unleashing a powerful and terrifying demon. From 1987 to 1991, the Moffitts lived in fear, tormented by this unseen assailant and isolated from friends and family. The demon left his marks everywhere in their home. Every single day, knives would be lodged into furniture, strange symbols would be gouged into the walls, and religious icons would be destroyed. Most shocking of all, the demon communicated to the family by writing on mirrors with soap, demanding blood and sacrifice and promising death and destruction. What began as a series of unnerving supernatural occurrences had quickly escalated into a spiritual battle for the Moffitts to maintain their sanity and physical well-being. But as the demon's hostility and power seemed to grow by the day, it would only be matter of time before he made good on his word.

A Deadly Haunting will be available digitally and in print through Amazon on April 15th.
