A Christian's Guide to Coping with Loss and Hardship Image In "Tears on the Church House Floor," author Dan Pratt shares a deeply personal story about the grief that he and his family experienced in a traumatic year of their lives, losing a grandson, a mother, and beloved pet. More than that, the book is about how God wove himself into their lives over a 50-year period to prepare this family for a season of grief.

Using his own family's experiences, Pratt invites all those who are grieving to find inner strength through God and to continuously strengthen bonds with family.

"I wrote this book to reach out to folks who are going through or have gone through tough times in their lives," said Pratt. "I am an elder in my church and pray almost every week with someone in tears."

"Tears from the Church House Floor" is a deeply personal story about grief that the Pratt family passed through in the span of exactly one year. Like Bartimaeus, there is coming a day when people will clearly see all that God has done in their lives.
