19th Century Canadian Comes to Life THE PICTOU TRIANGLE

In "The Pictou Triangle" (published by Trafford Publishing), Jean Lucas' 2007 historical novel, readers are taken back in time to Pictou, a small, backwater town in Canada that, at one time in history, was a busy timber and immigration port and part of a smuggling route involving the West Indies and Scotland.

Set in the early 19th century, "The Pictou Triangle" traces the life stories of two young men, Robert Thompson and Angus Ritchie, who are first and second generation immigrants to the New World. Robert and Angus are both parted from their families until they re-discover them again. Historically accurate, the story is woven into the emerging society, but murder, smuggling and retribution provide excitement, and the fictional development of the story adds romance.
