Blackfriars Theatre has a jam-packed February with new events being held each weekend. Currently running through the 17th is the hit musical Ordinary Days by Adam Gwon, which CITY Newspapers hails as "a production that speaks to finding purpose and meaning in the everyday, mundane routine -- a message that desperately needs to be heard and seen." Tickets to Ordinary Days can be purchased by calling 585-454-1260 or visiting blackfriars.org/ordinary-days.
On February 9th at 2 p.m., the Hourglass Play Reading Series will mount the 3rd reading of their 18-19 Season: Lost Lake by David Auburn. This play follows the story of Veronica, mother of two, and Hogan, disheveled owner of the lakeside property Veronica is renting. Hourglass Play Readings are free and open to the public, with donations gratefully accepted at the door. This month's book will be "Pink is for Boys" by Robb Pearlman.
