For the sixth show in its 2011-2012 Season, Subversive Theatre teams up with Trajicom Productions to present David Mamet's ever-incendiary play SPEED THE PLOW. Directed by Christopher Standart, the cast includes Timothy Patrick Finnegan, Kevin Craig and Andrea Andolina. The show runs tonight through May 13.

This hard-hitting dark comedy gleefully assails the Hollywood film industry – that "sinkhole of slime and depravity" – graphically showing us a supposed art-form completely corrupted by commercialism, lust, and bald-faced opportunism.

Written by Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright David Mamet, SPEED THE PLOW bristles with the author's signature use of blunt, crass, and refreshingly real dialogue amidst a fast-paced tale that will leave you laughing uproariously at every nauseating twist and turn. The play skewers a culture as corrupt as the society it claims to reflect.

SPEED THE PLOW runs April 28th through May 13th with performances Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm and Sundays at 2:30pm. Tickets are $20 General Admission and $15 for student, seniors, and Subversive Theatre members. All performances are at Subversive Theatre's regular performance venue The Manny Fried Playhouse at 255 Great Arrow Avenue on the third floor of North Buffalo's Great Arrow Building.
