Edward Albee's witty and frank drama THREE TALL WOMEN is brought to life on stage for three weekends only at Shea's Smith Theatre from March 20 to April 5, 2020.

THREE TALL WOMEN follows the lives and memories of three women who have more in common than we think. A witty and frank look at who we were, who we are, and who we become, this production is led by Kyle LoConti, director of the recent hit TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at the Kavinoky Theatre. LoConti says "THREE TALL WOMEN won Edward Albee his third Pulitzer Prize. The central character is based on his mother, and Albee himself referred to the play as an exorcism. In the introduction to the play, he wrote, 'Very few people who met my adoptive mother in the last twenty years of her life could abide her, while many people who have seen my play find her fascinating. Heavens, what have I done?!'"

The production stars Buffalo theatre legends Barbara Link Larou (AEA) as "A" and Lisa Ludwig as "B."

"It is so exciting to start work with these amazing women," says Ludwig. "I had the honor of working with Barbara when I was first starting my theatre career, in Death of a Salesman and again recently in Other Desert Cites -I have always looked up to her beauty, grace and talent. I also had the joy of being Anna's (Krempholtz, who plays "C") high school drama advisor for 4 years; now it is almost surreal to have the opportunity to share the stage with them. Just like in the play, I see myself in both these women."

THREE TALL WOMEN is directed by Kyle LoConti and stars Barbara Link Larou (AEA), Lisa Ludwig, and Anna Krempholtz. Set, Lighting and Sound Design are by Chris Cavanagh, Costume Design is by Lindsay Salamone, and Props are Designed by Diane Almeter Jones. The production is sponsored by Phillips Lytle and Delaware North.
