Second Generation Theatre (SGT) begins an exciting partnership with the Shea's Smith Theatre by presenting the regional premiere of "BIG FISH: The Musical" October 12-28.

Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, BIG FISH tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest... and then some! Edward's incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him - most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father's epic tales.

"(Director) Michael Walline has such a gift for creating magic from the simplest things," says Artistic Director, Kelly Copps. "His brand of storytelling is a perfect fit for this production. It strikes a balance between utterly fantastic and intensely relatable." The story boasts humor, heart, and an energetic appeal for all generations.

Shea's President, Michael Murphy adds "Second Generation Theatre has, in a remarkably short time, smartly developed a core audience which trusts and appreciates the quality of their work." BIG FISH marks the beginning of a partnership between SGT and Shea's Performing Arts Center, which will continue into the 2018-2019 season with productions of ANGELS IN AMERICA (March 8-24, 2019) and the regional premiere of NINE (June 14-30, 2019).

BIG FISH is directed & choreographed by Michael Walline with music direction by Philip Farugia. The production stars Louis Colaiacovo (Edward), Michele Marie Roberts (Sandra), Ricky Needham (Will), and Jacob Albarella, Victoria Pérez, Bethany Burrows, Brittany Bassett, Stevie Jackson, David Spychalski, Alexandria Watts, Preston Williams, Bobby Cooke, Alejandro Gomez, and Noah Bielecki.
