RCP's Shakespeare Players present: Measure For Measure, a comical morality tale directed by Judy Molner with Original Music & Lyrics by Doug Waterman.
The Shakespeare Players are transforming MuCCC Theater into a late 1920's speakeasy for this production. Step back in time to this forgotten time period where the higher laws tried to govern society until society found a way to let loose.
The government of Vienna decides to enforce the laws that punish sex outside of lawful marriage! What could possibly go wrong? Shakespeare's Measure for Measure is a laugh-out-loud comedy which also raises serious ethical questions. This production, set in the Roaring Twenties, features songs from the era in a pre-show and intermission "speakeasy," and original songs throughout. Cast vocalists are accompanied by a four-piece jazz band.
General admission $19; seniors over 65 $14; anyone under 25 $9.
Tickets can be purchased in advance online at MuCCC.org.
