Green Buffalo Productions (GBP) is leading the Buffalo arts community into Women's History Month with two shows to benefit their 2020 Season. Both feature WNY writers who are building careers that provoke gender expectations through humor and introspection.

First up is The Museum of F*ckboys, a series of short plays by local poet and playwright, Justin Karcher. The plays follow Mike, an aging millennial struggling to understand masculinity and his relationships with the women in his life. The show will take place at the University Heights Community Laboratory (9 W. Northrup Pl Buffalo, NY 14214) on March 20-21 at 7 pm. Leyla Gentil will be serving as this show's director, helping to build the world of a familiar Green Buffalo character. Those who attended October 2019's Spooky One-Act Play Festival will notice Michael Burke as he reprises his role of "Mike" in When the Skeletons in Our Closets Choke on Candy Corn. The show will also feature GBP Co-Founder and Producer, Madison Sedlor, as well as Madeline Allard and Amanda Vink. Tickets are $15 and can be found online at gbpf-boys.bpt.me.

GBP is also excited to announce their first collaboration with Buffalo comedian, Rachael Tschari. On March 30th, Tschari will be hosting GBP's Queen of Comedy at Perks At Horsefeathers (346 Connecticut Street, Buffalo, NY 14213). This event is a women-only comedy contest, where Buffalo and Rochester's funniest women can compete to take home a $100 cash prize and reign as "GBP Comedy Queen."

The contestants will be judged by Leyla Gentil, Ellen Scherer, and Madison Sedlor, but the audience has a vote as well! The audience favorite will be crowned GBP's Duchess of Jokes. See greenbuffaloproductions.weebly.com for more information about competing and attending this event.
