The Theatre of Youth in Buffalo, NY continues its 2010 season with THE LION, THE WITCH & THE WARDROBE based on the books by C.S. Lewis. Opening night is January 29 at 7pm. Shows will be performed Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm on January 31, 31, February 6, 7, 13, and 14.
THE LION, THE WITCH & THE WARDROBE takes Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy Pevensie through a magical wardrobe into the fantasy world of Narnia. Narnia was once a peaceful land of Dwarfs, Fauns, Giants, and Talking Beasts. It has been frozen into winter for over 100 years by the evil White Witch. Destined to fulfill an ancient prophecy, the Pevensie children must defeat the witch, restore peace and sunshine to Narnia, and return Aslan, the King of Beasts, to his throne.Farmer Brown's Cows have had it! They want electric blankets and they want them now. But, The Farmer can't be bothered. When Hen finds a typewriter in her nest, a revolution begins and the Cows go on strike. Typewritten labor negotiations proceed until the Duck double crosses his pals. Will milk and egg production ever resume? The result will ‘quack' everybody up!
