IS THERE POETRY IN THE ARCTIC WINTER BLAST OF BUFFALO, NEW YORK?

The poetry is rich in Buffalo, New York and the winter arctic blast of single digit temperatures does not stop the artist from coming out and performing and sharing their words and feelings.

The poets still come out. The snow doesn't stop them. The cold doesn't stop them.

Although Buffalo does get a bad rap for its harsh winters this is one of the colder and snowier ones of recent years. It doesn't seem to prevent venues from setting up events and artist to head to these venues and to do what they love.

When I asked Fred Whitehead, who runs Dog Ears 4th Friday Poetry Series, why this is, "... because buffalo poets are tough who will brave anything that's thrown at them to get the chance to spread joy with their beauteous words!"

Here are just a few of the January and February Literary events happening.

So, grab a shovel, a hot cup of coffee and wrap yourself up plenty warm and head out

to the Poetry Winter in Buffalo, New York.
