Education Curator, Sarah Courtney, came to the Aquarium in December last year and since then over 15 new classes and seminars have been added to the Aquarium's roster. "Conservation is a vital part of what we do here at the Aquarium", said Courtney. "The challenge is how to make the experience informative and fun. When I was a school teacher I learned that children -- and adults of all ages -- absorb much more when hands-on learning is involved. My goal here is to truly involve everyone who signs up for these classes. The more involved a person is, the greater the educational impact."
The six classes below are designed to appeal to different age groups and each one has been pre-tested to make sure the end results are impactful, entertaining and educational.
