The American Repertory Theater of WNY presents the second production of the 2018-19 season with American playwright Sam Shepard's classic work, FOOL FOR LOVE. This will mark the first production in the new 545 Elmwood Avenue location. FOOL FOR LOVE runs November 1st to November 17th, all showtimes at 8 pm. There will be a special Industry Night scheduled for November 11th, 7 pm. Ticket prices are $20 General Admission; Student & Industry $10.
In a dirty reality backdrop littered with hopes, dreams and faded love, Sam Shepard's 1983 classic FOOL FOR LOVE reflects two lost souls destine to be together, like it or not. Lover one, 'May', has tuck herself away from a life less ordinary in a Mojave Desert shithole motel, until 'Eddie', former lover two and bane of her existence, hopes to take her back to a measured country life he feel he can provide. Hope doesn't spring eternal with these two, instead, for these doomed lovers, hope is premeditated desperation.
Directed By Buffalo Theater veteran, Kelli Natale, the cast features Eric Rawski as 'Eddie', Candice Kogut as 'May', Steve Jakiel as 'The Old Man' and Nick Lama as 'Martin'.
FOOL FOR LOVE kicks off the 2018-19 season in American Repertory Theater of WNY's new 545 Elmwood Avenue performance space.
