DanceMotion USA (sm): David Dorfman Dance & Korhan Ba?aran Company at BAM Fisher

David Dorfman Dance returns to BAM fresh from a four-week exchange and performance tour of Armenia, Tajikistan, and Turkey, as part of the fourth season of DanceMotion USAsm. For this engagement, the New York-based company presents a new work created in collaboration with the Turkish troupe Korhan Ba?aran company, along with two Armenian guest artists. The result is a work that uniquely fuses choreographer David Dorfman’s progressive and community-minded ethos with the innovative contemporary musical and movement styles of his Turkish counterpart, Korhan Ba?aran.

DanceMotion USAsm is a vibrant cultural diplomacy program that supports US foreign policy goals by engaging international audiences through educational opportunities, performance, and cultural exchange. The program is a people-to-people international exchange initiative of the US Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, produced by BAM.
