Every month Ben Asher curates NY's most superlative comedy show, DoublePlusGood Comedy, bringing you comedy that reaches up into your brain with the force of a fist through the nose. Top pro comics and performers from TV and NYC's major clubs performing long (20+ min) sets on an intimate stage. The best comedy value in the city. Every 2nd Wednesday of the month at Pacific Standard.
In this fourth year of producing the show, in addition to consistently curating a line-up for each month's show that strives to reflects the racial, ethnic, gender, and sexual diversity of NYC, what makes this show unique is that, since 2013, we're the only free downtown comedy show that always provides all of the performers it showcases long set times (20+ minutes), which allows all of the comics to flex their muscles on stage and really hit their stride, and lets the audience truly see the comedian's essence, rather than just a snippet.
