The podcast taping starts at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 16 at St. Mark's Comics, followed by THE KRAMPUS in front of Standard Wormwood at 7:30pm.
Dialogue with Three Chords (D3C) is back live and in-person, with BrooklynONE (bkONE) Productions, to present a reading of THE KRAMPUS at Standard Wormwood Distillery in Industry City. THE KRAMPUS is part of a holiday double bill preceded by a live recording of The Cult of Pop podcast at St. Mark's Comics next door.
The podcast taping starts at 6:00pm on Thursday, December 16 at St. Mark's Comics, followed by THE KRAMPUS in front of Standard Wormwood at 7:30pm, at 68 34th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232.
The event boasts food and drink specials by Standard Wormwood Distillery and The Frying Pan NYC.
THE KRAMPUS is a lovingly filthy play about the families we make and the inherited holiday traditions we break. "It's is about community, chosen family, and the importance of gathering together to overcome trauma through Doom Metal and dirty jokes," explains Gracia.
"THE KRAMPUS was our last live presentation before everything went to hell," says LoPorto, "so it feels like the right way to return to live performance. The line between what the characters need and what we all need has been completely erased. We need fellowship, and to feel an exchange of energy, of love, and the light."
"I'm so happy that we get to gather again, laugh, sing, and cast off our demons," Gracia adds. Both Gracia and LoPorto are excited to work with bkONE and Cultural Compulsive Disorder, who sponsor the Cult of Pop podcast, in bringing offbeat holiday cheer to Brooklyn.
Registration is required at Eventbrite for THE KRAMPUS reading: audience members required to show proof of vaccination and wear masks: D3C's The Krampus LIVE Tickets (https://www.eventbrite.com/e/d3cs-the-krampus-live-at-sta...).
THE KRAMPUS features: Jessica Bathurst, John Caliendo, Sadie Keljikian, Anthony Marino, Cristina Pitter, Mickey Ryan, Chris Stansfield, and Steve Weinblatt. Musical accompaniment by: Therina Bella and Michael LoPorto.
