SMITH STREET STAGE has announced their production of William Shakespeare's THE COMEDY OF ERRORS, directed by Dan Hasse. THE COMEDY OF ERRORS will play June 8 - June 26 in Carroll Park (Carroll Stop off F & G). Performances begin Wednesday, June 8th and continue through Sunday, June 26. Opening Night is Friday, June 10th (7:00 p.m.). Press are cordially invited, Friday, June 10 (and any subsequent performance). Tickets for the Carroll Park performances are FREE and seating is first come, first served.
A traveling troupe of multi-talented Vaudevillians arrive in Carroll Park to perform THE COMEDY OR ERRORS in a production befitting its name and our own upside down times. Two sets of twins, separated at birth, seek to find meaning and each other in a story ripe with slapstick comedy, insane mistaken identity and desperate clowning. Director Dan Hasse explodes the hilarity of our greatest writer's silliest play in a love letter to classic comic tradition and the one of a kind feeling of actual live theater. Join us for a play about fun, folly, and the sheer joy of being back together.
Smith Street Stage is the proud honoree of three Innovative Theater Awards: OUTSTANDING ENSEMBLE for Much Ado About Nothing and OUTSTANDING REVIVAL for both Much Ado About Nothing & The Tempest.
