A new autobiographical solo show from magician Bobby Torkova will make its worldwide debut Fridays in January at the Sideshows by the Seashore Theater at Coney Island. This true story tells of a little boy who stutters, explores his relationship with his father, and dreams of becoming a professional magician. While this is not your traditional magic show, Torkova's unique and personal approach does feature magic performances to help illustrate the story.
Bobby Torkova is an award-winning magician and mind reader whom the New York Post called "Unquestionably among the best!" His impish, family friendly style always delights and amazes audiences. Having a love of magic since the age of seven, Torkova has been pursuing his dream ever since not only studying magic, but also improvisation, mime and clowning. He has won numerous awards for his magic including: the Merlin Award for Best Classical Magic from the International Magicians Society, First Place in the Society of American Magicians National Competition and the prestigious Hofzinser Award for Classical Magic given by the Vienna Magic Theater in Austria.
