Shuga Pie Supreme is thrilled to present The Goodbye Party by Charlie O'Leary directed by Charles Quittner at Boscoe Barles Backyard (290 N 6 St.)
"The Goodbye Party is a pizza party-slash-play centered on a fictional goodbye party for a fictional character, who is fictional," says O'Leary. "It is true that I am also leaving New York, but the play isn't about that. It's actually a play about love and stuff."
This 60-minute musical play will feature Ae Andreas (AKA God Complex, BK Drag King of the Year) Robert Dowling (Ding Dong It's The Ocean), Alex Emond (It's Cymbeline), Chris Ignacio (Their Food Tastes Better When They See Us Starving). Anne Ciarlone produces the play with music by David Carl, Nikolai Mishler, & Charlie O'Leary.
"I've never lived in Brooklyn, but I've always wanted to do a play in a backyard there," O'Leary adds. "If you don't do a play in a backyard in Brooklyn, are you even a playwright? I would say, no. So I'm thrilled that Boscoe Barles has given me the opportunity to emerge in this way."
Tickets are a suggested donation of 12$ and can be reserved at goodbyeparty.bpt.me/,
