Recent Cutbacks (Hold On To Your Butts; Fly, You Fools!) returns with its latest parody, KEVIN!!!!!, as part of Theatreworks' Collaborate! residency at City College of Technology in Brooklyn March 23 through April 1, 2017.

Kevin is alone... at home... Recent Cutbacks revamps a beloved holiday classic with live projections, puppets, and a four-person choir. The company's signature brand of humor and thrilling theatricality has been hailed as "one breathless hour" by The New York Times, "fast, funny, and fiendishly clever" by Onstage and "a reminder of the joy of live theater" by Theatre Is Easy.

Kristin McCarthy Parker (Puffs, Kapowi-Go-Go) directs Nick Abeel, Sonia Mena, Natalie Rich and Kyle Schaefer along with the four-person choir featuring Sarah Godwin, Evan Maltby, Michelle Vo and Richard Sears, who also serves as the musical director. The creative team also includes Kelsey Didion (musical arrangements) and Lanie Zipoy (producer).

Recent Cutbacks continues the inventive streak it began with Hold On To Your Butts, the Jurassic Park parody named the Number 3 Comedy of the Year in 2014 by Time Out New York. The company followed up with a fast-paced, breakneck speed parody of the Lord of the Rings trilogy, Fly, You Fools! and then premiered KEVIN!!!!! to packed houses at The PIT's Striker Main Stage last December. In addition to the KEVIN!!!!! residency, Recent Cutbacks will keep busy this spring, taking Hold On To Your Butts to The Second City in Chicago in April.

Performances of KEVIN!!!!! run March 23 through April 1, 2017, Thursday through Saturday at 8:00pm at Voorhees Theatre, New York City College of Technology (186 Jay Street, Brooklyn; Subway: F to Jay Street; C to High Street). Tickets are $20 general admission and $10 for students at www.recentcutbacks.com.
