Puppetworks has announced the winter presentation in its Brooklyn theatre: Perrault's 1697 retelling of the Godmother of all fairy tales, "Cinderella."
Adapted by Puppetworks' Artistic Director, Nicolas Coppola, "Cinderella" includes a cast of hand-carved, wooden Marionettes in the elegant costumes and lavish settings of 18th-Century France, and features the magical construction of Cinderella's ball gown, the pumpkin coach, and "Ombres Chinoise," French Silhouette Figures, in a ball-arrival sequence. The play is accompanied by music of Jules Massenet.
"Cinderella," recommended for ages 3 and up, will perform on:
Saturdays & Sundays, January 26 through April 20, 2019, with Additional Performances Presidents' week, February 18 through 22. All performances are at 12:30 and 2:30 pm at Puppetworks - Park Slope, 338 Sixth Ave (at 4th Street), Brooklyn, New York.
