Photo Flash: Company XIV Presents New Show at Their New Theatre in Bushwick

Following the success of their production of Nutcracker Rouge, Company XIV is now presenting a new production, XIVarieté, playing at the troupe's new home Théâtre XIV (383 Troutman Street in Bushwick, Brooklyn).

This new show is billed as a constantly evolving exravaganza featuring sexy burlesque, mysterious magic, amazing and breathtaking dance, enchanging music and over the top costumes. Director and choregographer Austin Mccormick ensures that no two shows are quite alike and there will be special guest artists from the worlds of illusion, striptease, opera, flamenco and drag.

Company XIV continues to gain critical acclaim in New York as well as around the world for their unique fusion of passionate choregraphy, eclectic music, opera, circus, burlesque, ballet, gender-bending, and sumptuous design elements. The company has received Drama Desk and Bessie nominations and in 2017 their showNutcracker Rouge received the Goldstar National Nutcracker Award for the best and most innovative production of The Nutcracker in the U.S.. Their shows have been a favorite of aueinces and have always been sell-outs.

Austin Mccormick (Director, Choregrapher, Artistic Director) Creadits have included choreography for Metropolitan Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Canadian Opera Company, The Juilliard School, Gotham Chamber Opera and the Kennedy Center. He is also working with Houston Grand Opera and Opera Columbus on future projects. Austin as received nominations for Drama Desk Awards for Best Choreography (Rococo Rouge) and Unique Theatrical Experience (Nutcracker Rouge) as well as nominations for Bessie Awards for Best Set, Lights and Costume Design (Snow White).
