Brooklyn Parks Commissioner Kevin Jeffrey will join Borough President Marty Markowitz and Council Member Brad Lander to break ground on a $450,000 renovation of the DiMattina Playground dog run tomorrow, October 29, 2013.

This design will provide separate dog run areas for both small and large dogs. They will encourage safe and open play while supplying proper drainage, safe lighting, and new plantings. Additional features include permeable surfaces, benches, fences, drinking fountains for both people and dogs, and improved odor and dust control.

The project was funded with generous allocations of $225K from Councilmember Brad Lander and $225K from Borough President Marty Markowitz.
