Kiki in the Kitchen, the first Drag Queen cooking event in New York City, is a fabulous event happening December 16, 7pm, at The Brooklyn Kitchen, 100 Frost Street, Brooklyn, NY 11211. 718-389-2982 www.thebrooklynkitchen.com Ranked a top recreational cooking school in the nation, The Brooklyn Kitchen specialize in interactive and educational experiences that foster community and redefine home cooking for everyone. Their diverse clientele come to us for memorable, in-person gatherings in their spacious kitchens designed to energize and inspire. Chef Melissa Smith will guide attendees through a tasty menu of X-rated, succulent food and exotic drinks.

MAC Award winning Rev. Yolanda, Angel Elektra and Shay'd Pines will be on hand to stir the T and tell the attendees how well they are doing. Rev. Yolanda is an eccentric, ecstatic southern rock, country, gospel, folk singer/songwriter and interfaith minister with a soulful voice, spiritual outlook, great costumes, and a wicked sense of humor. Angel Elektra and Shay'd Pines are New York's first drag couple, their wit and comedy have made them a mainstay on the local scene. whether they are working a crowd or hosting drag bingo, they are always a party.

The event will be 3 hours of fun and banter and there may even be a death drop or two. The attendees come to cook and are shown how to cook a menu of spiced rubbed cock, tossed salad with creamy vinaigrette, mushroom tucks (Vegetarian option) and crème puffs with chocolate ganache.

The night will be raising money for the locally based AIDS charity "Help is on the Way Today". Their mission is to raise and distribute funds to NYC based organizations that support children and young adults living with HIV/AIDS; particularly, those with little or no medical coverage and/or financial support. They accomplish this mission by producing events that promote awareness and raise funds. www.helpisonthewaytoday.org

After all the hard work (drinking) the food will be served, the salad will be tossed and freshly crisped.
