Brooklyn Comes Alive has announced the final lineup for their late-night party in the Great Hall at Avant Gardner. Jade Cicada, one of the most exciting young acts in electronic music, tops the bill, alongside festival stalwarts Beats Antique (DJ Set), Potions, and 5AM Trio.
Brooklyn Comes Alive tickets grant access to the all-day event at Avant Gardner from 4:00 PM until 4:00 AM, and includes access to the performances from Jade Cicada, Beats Antique (DJ Set), Potions, and 5AM Trio in the Great Hall. However, there is a "late-night only" ticket for electronic-leaning fans who may want to only attend that portion of the event.
Jade Cicada is among the brightest rising stars in electronic music. Hailing from Denver, CO, Jade infuses his unique and intricate blend of bass music and trip-hop at all of his live performances, and he has become a fan-favorite at clubs and festivals around the country. Jade Cicada has appeared at major music events ranging from Bonnaroo, Resonance, and Camp Bisco (among others), and is set to appear at STS9's Hotel Elsewhere, Elements Festival, and Backwoods Festival this summer, but he will kick off his 2020 festival season with a can't-miss performance late-night in the Great Hall at Brooklyn Comes Alive.
Beats Antique is one of the most celebrated crossover electronic acts in music today. The group pulls on global sounds to create its mixture of experimental, electro-acoustic music and continues to impress audiences with their unparalleled live shows. At Brooklyn Comes Alive, founding members David Satori and Sidecar Tommy will deliver a special DJ set that will lean on the sophisticated, unmistakable world-music-influenced sounds that fans of Beats Antique have come to expect.
Potions is the brainchild of producer/musician, Hunter Braymer. Hailing from Santa Cruz, CA, Potions blends a variety of tempos and styles, walking the line between experimental psychedelia and a narrative musical experience. He focuses on an experimental sound that incorporates a multitude of bass-heavy genres and styles, delivering audiences a danceable, ever-morphing electronic experience.
5AM comes from Sam Andrus' creative soul. The Wilmington, DE-based producer pushes the boundaries and possibilities of sound. He has brought to full fruition a vision of electronic music that pulls from the expansive arrangement styles of jazz and jam and was born from the stage as much as the studio. For the 5AM Trio, Andrus brings his music into a fresh, improvisational territory as he is joined by ZONE Drum's dynamic percussion and Tygris' combination of electronic production, bass guitar, and turntablism.
