JD Wilkes and the Dirt Daubers will bring their distinctive Southern Gothic sound to Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, NY on June 22!
Previously of Legendary Shack Shakers fame, JD Wilkes continues to entrance audiences with his frienzied live shows and eccentric performance style. In 2009, JD assembled the Dirt Daubers, carrying old-time music into the realm of rock n' roll distortion and heavy blues. Backed by electric guitarist Rod Hamdallah and drummer Preston Corn, JD and his wife Jessica trade off singing lead vocals, punctuated by JD's wild harmonica riffs.
Wild Moon was released on Plowboy Records September 24th, 2013 and marks a departure in sound from the Dirt Daubers' previous releases. Produced by punk legend Cheetah Chrome, Wild Moon rips and wails through the blues with unbridled rock n' roll energy and punchy, precise delivery.
