This will be a chance for JACK to celebrate the formal opening of the space with neighbors, artists, supporters and elected officials.
Brooklyn performance and civic space JACK has announced a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Tuesday, September 14 at 11 a.m. to officially open its new space at 20 Putnam Ave in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. The ceremony was originally planned for spring of 2020, and was delayed because of the pandemic.
Since then, JACK's new space was active as a food distribution hub for mutual aid support through the pandemic, as well as for artist residencies. This will be a chance for JACK to celebrate the formal opening of the space with neighbors, artists, supporters and elected officials in advance of the commencement of our theater season on September 16 with Justin Hicks' Cross Over. State Assembly member Phara Souffrant Forrest will attend, with other elected officials to be confirmed.
