House of Yes, which has quickly become Brooklyn's favorite avant-garde nightlife hotspot will celebrate its one year anniversary on Friday January 6, 2017 by saying thank you to their loyal fans and hosting a FREE dance party (RSVP required).

The birthday celebrations will feature all eight of their resident DJs alongside the star House of Yes aerial performers and go-go dancers. With aerial spectacles, birthday cake, balloons and lots of surprises in store, it promises to be one of the biggest birthday bashes to ever hit a Brooklyn dancefloor.

"We couldn't be more grateful for the continued support our community has shown us throughout the year," says House of Yes co-founders Anya Sapozhnikova and Kae Burke. "It's been incredible to see our dream come to fruition thanks to all the amazing people that have helped make it happen. To each and every artist, DJ, performer, go-go dancer, bartender, staff member, member of the press, photographer, religious partygoer - we couldn't have done this without you. Everyone and anyone that has been to our venue has been a part of this crazy, wild, and fun adventure. Thank you for helping us make the dream come true!"

It's been a whirlwind year for the venue and co-founders, both of whom were recently named in Brooklyn Mag's 30 Under 30 for their professional achievements and contribution to Brooklyn nightlife. Known for their quirky, outrageous and all-gender inclusive events and dance parties, in 2016 they hosted some of the biggest international and domestic acts. Some of the globally renown artists include: Chris Malinchak, Craig Richards, Damian Lazarus, Dimitri From Paris, Francois K, Glass Animals, Grandmaster Flash, Jonas Rathsman, Kidnap Kid, Lee Burridge, Lee Foss, Moon Boots, Nicky Siano, Skrillex, and Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs - all demonstrating the venue's dedication to hosting diverse talent from a wide range of music genres and proving why it was the Village Voice's Reader's Choice for Best Club in 2016.

The venue now in its third iteration first started ten years ago as two best friends making art in a Crown Heights basement before moving to a warehouse in Ridgewood, Queens in early 2007 which soon after burned down in a toaster fire. The second space in an old ice factory in East Williamsburg lasted several years before they were forced out due to insane rent hikes. Now in its most established concept to date, after hours of endless painting, building, and stitching, House of Yes has quickly become a haven for creative and offbeat nightlife alongside top music and performance talent. A sanctuary for the New York Burner community, the beloved venue will now celebrate one full year at 2 Wyckoff Avenue in Bushwick that is in part thanks to a Kickstarter that raised over $92,000. From weekend brunches, to immersive Little Cinema movie nights, to circus, burlesque, fire performances, aerial extravaganzas, themed dance parties, Burner events, Foreplay (immersive erotic theater), House of Love, Ketamine: The Musical, rooftop hot tub shenanigans and lots lots more, House of Yes does it all.

Kicking things off for New Year's Eve are Escort (Live) and Tony Humphries at the Future Perfect New Year's Eve Gala with plenty more exciting events to follow for 2017.

House of Yes opened its third iteration in Bushwick at the beginning of 2016 to become a beacon of NYC nightlife after shuttering its doors too soon in East Williamsburg three years ago. Original partners Anya Sapozhnikova and Kae Burke, teamed up with Ilan Telmont and Justin Ahiyon to build out the best venue ever with a little help from their friends, seeding a Kickstarter campaign for $92,340 (original goal: $60,000). The space includes an art-deco restaurant parlor, a spectacularly decorated warehouse-sized performance space, a courtyard with kitschy repurposed decor, and a clandestine mini-club. House of Yes is now the home of circus spectacles, immersive cinema, burlesque and cabaret shows, aerial extravaganzas, nightlife parties, morning raves, brunch, BBQs, and bubble baths, all with superior sound and exemplary service. Each night is specially curated to create an immersive experience with music, theatrics, and performances to titillate the senses and expand your mind, unlike any other venue in Brooklyn right now.
