Dan Fingerman's ADAM MINUS JOSH Comes to Theaterlab ImageIn Adam Minus Josh by Dan Fingerman (Boys of a Certain Age), Adam and Josh have been together for eight years... only now they're not and everyone has an opinion. Fingerman's new comedy examines the chaos of gay dating culture, skewers our need for social media, and gives voice to Adam who must now navigate an entirely new dating world while trying to figure out who he is and what's next. Aided by an oddball neighbor, a profligate friend, and his suburban sister Rachel, it's quite literally Adam minus Josh.

"This isn't a tear jerker!" Fingerman says. "Adam Minus Josh is a joyous play about someone learning to celebrate who they are, now that they're no longer in a relationship. It's about rediscovering oneself and building a community," says Fingerman, who has been hailed as "an exquisite writer getting the humor and the conflict of life" by Times Square Chronicles.

Adam Minus Josh also has some of the funniest and zaniest characters Fingerman has ever written. "This isn't Boys in the Band," Fingerman quips. "Adam Minus Josh is about a weird group around a guy who's been dumped. The humor is true to life and at times absurd." Fingerman is thrilled to return to Theaterlab, where his acclaimed play Boys of a Certain Age bowed Feb '17.

Adam Minus Josh features David Edwin, Lindsey Lake, Jesse Reid and Marc Sinoway. Adam Minus Josh is written by Dan Fingerman, directed by Dennis Corsi with scenic design by Emma Antenen; costume design by Kathryn Bailey; lighting design by Conor Mulligan; sound design by Käri B. Berntson; stage management by Jillian Christiansen and produced by Willow Theatricals.
