Crystal Image Theatre in association with the Boys & Girls High School Drama Club, the company that has brought such critically acclaimed productions as Antony and Cleopatra, Fences, Godspell, Othello, The Wiz, and A Streetcar Named Desire, returns to the stage at Boys & Girls High School to present a new drama named The Player. The latest production is directed by Kenthedo Robinson.
With some of New York City's most innovative and talented actors, The Player creates a unique combination of action, songs, dance, and the kind of audience interaction that everyone craves! This play brings a modern twist to the classic tale of good versus evil. It follows the adventures of a man named Troubadour. While caught in his own inner struggle to fulfill his quest to bring love, happiness, hope and freedom to the broken souls living in the canon of the damned, he must thwart the attacks of the World Hater. The show stars Ibnu Firza as The Player along with Muhammad Daud, Sheena Weeks, Shatique Brown, Kashawn Jefferson, Tervon Twitty, Keisha Gregory, Thomas Anderson and Corey Hampton.Designed by Kenthedo Robinson with music by Corey Hampton and Kenthedo Robinson.
