World Famous Landmark Attraction, SIDESHOWS BY THE SEASHORE, which first opened in Coney Island in 1985, is about to reach a milestone as one of the longest running shows in NYC Theatrical History mid-August, when it is on track to sell the one millionth ticket to the hit show, which first opened 34 years ago. Few shows such as The Fantasticks or Phantom of The Opera have equaled this feat. In the particular field of Circus Sideshows, The Coney Island Circus Sideshow is now the longest running such show ever.

The 998,000 Ticket was recently sold on August 2, 2018.

The purchaser of Ticket #1,000,000 will be honored by a balloon and confetti drop and the purchaser will be presented with a lifetime pass to the show.

The CONEY ISLAND CIRCUS SIDESHOW is a program of non-profit arts organization CONEY ISLAND USA under the direction of Dick Zigun and currently starring Jellyboy The Clown, Sarah Birdgirl, Wendy Blades, Velvet Crayon, Nola Star, Zoob the Snake Boy, Serpentina and more. Coney Island Sideshow cast members have also recently appeared at The Metropolitan Opera (Lincoln Center) and on America's Got Talent on NBC.

The Coney Island Circus Sideshow is funded by the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs.

Press is encouraged to stay in touch with Dick Zigun (dzigun@coneyisland.com) for updates and advisory alerts as the event approaches.
