Featuring trans and nonbinary performers, the show is a unique blend of cabaret and drag, hosted by creator Donnie Cianciotto's alter-ego, Anson Reign.
Creator of Trans Voices Cabaret Donnie Cianciotto will return to the Purgatory stage in Brooklyn with their latest production of Drag Out Loud, a live-singing drag show featuring trans and nonbinary drag artists and entertainers. Drag Out Loud features drag kings, drag queens, femme performers, and trans entertainers who sing live instead of lipsync, many of whom have been seen on cabaret stages throughout New York City.
Cianciotto will act as the emcee for the evening as his drag alter-ego, Anson Reign. This production of Drag Out Loud features Crybaby, Daddy Dallan, Freddy Flavv, Lena Horne, Oliver Bliss, Peach Fuzz, Ripley Grier, Saint Sigh, Shirley U. Jest, and Titus Hell.
"Creating safe spaces for trans and nonbinary performers is more important than ever," says Cianciotto. "We need to be able to gather and celebrate our authenticity and our talent, and Drag Out Loud gives us the opportunity to do just that."
Tickets are $10 and available here: https://link.dice.fm/Xf5e6a58d32c. They are also available at the door. Purgatory is located at 675 Central Avenue in Brooklyn. This show is 21+, and masks are strongly encouraged. For more information please visit @drag_out_loud on Instagram.
