It's a very special Mother's Day at the Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn, with two screenings dedicated to "America's Mom" Dee Wallace.

Start off the day with E.T., Steven Spielberg's childlike view of an alien encounter that has touched the heart of generations of young moviegoers. We all know the story: Elliot, a lonely kid living in suburban California comes across a shy alien in his backyard. At first both are scared, but soon Elliot realizes the creature's gentle nature and befriends him. Quickly the two develop a strong bond of friendship and Elliot decides to hide the alien, who he calls E.T., from his mother. One of the most ingenious, imaginative, heartfelt, unpretentious science-fiction films ever made, E.T. makes the bold choice telling a direct story in a simple way.

In the evening, celebrate the mom that will literally go to bat for you with CUJO at 9:30pm. When the fluffy St. Bernard Cujo succumbs to slime-soaked, murderous impulses after being bit by a rabid bat, Man's Best Friend quickly becomes Man's Deadliest Enemy, with Dee Wallace's Donna and her young son Tad trapped in his path. This truly harrowing and shocking film finds a mother willing to do whatever it takes to keep her son safe, putting herself in harm's way and facing down the slobbering, bloodthirsty Cujo.Whether your mom prefers friendly aliens or deranged dogs, there's something for every family at the Alamo Drafthouse Brooklyn this Mother's Day. Featuring a special Mother's Day menu with food and drink specials for the screening of E.T., it will be a day to remember.
