On Wednesday, March 29, 2017, Brooklyn Arts Council (BAC) will honor BAC's 2017 Community Arts Grants recipients in a celebration at Brooklyn Borough Hall. BAC will award 119 grants totaling close to $420,000 to Brooklyn artists and arts organizations. Grant awards are given to support the promotion and creation of new work and to carry out community-based arts projects in the borough. The event program will feature speeches by arts and culture leaders and performances by grants recipients.
