House of Yes, Brooklyn's all gender inclusive nightlife and performance space celebrates the day of Saint Valentine in partnership with renowned New York artist and multi-platform artist and director Rob Roth for a sensual and romantic evening of decadent dining and surreal theatrics followed by a seductive dance party perfect for singles, couples, triads and more.
Filled with organismic interactions and edible pleasures to live music courtesy of the YES Ensemble and beats by Dutch DJ Alex Cruz, 'The Story of Red' comprised of five dark fairytale chapters: The Introduction, The Kiss, The Heart, The Blood and Happily Ever After - Dance & Seduction promises to be a night of wild fantasies to arouse all of the senses.
Guests are asked to dress in their sexiest couture in ferocious shades of red and will be treated to an evening filled with visual, sensual and erotic edible treats such as love potions, hors d'oeuvres and a three course feast. Encompassing an erotic environment filled with intimate play spaces and naughty-themed interactions throughout the venue, guests will be free to indulge in their deepest and darkest desires all throughout the night. The rouge-themed erotic fairytale will be a culmination of not only decadent dining but also movement, dance art and aerial acrobatics alongside an immersive live ensemble directed by Leo Leite and Ricardo Romaneiro followed by a DJ set from Alex Cruz. To set the mood, the YES Ensemble will open with angelic melodies performed by Addi (vocals) and Jacqui Kerrod (harp), before continuing on to The Kiss with sexy vocals by Hannah Sumner with Vasko Dukovski on the clarinet. Next will see percussive drums symbolizing a beating heart performed by members of Sandbox Percussion, and the live music segment will conclude with Little Kruta (strings) accompanied by all ensemble members performing together for The Blood.
Continuing on the night's festivities for the final chapter Happily Ever After - Dance & Seduction will see the dining room transform into a sensual dance floor. The groovy beats will be provided by international DJ talent hailing from Amsterdam, Alex Cruz who is most well known for his funky progressive house and latin-influenced sound alongside Brooklyn favorite Playsuit.
The collaborative event is the conjoined effort of two creative powerhouses: House of Yes, and renowned New York multi-platform artist and director Rob Roth. Roth's work has exhibited in The New Museum for Contemporary Art, PS122, and The Whitney Museum of American Art. Roth catapulted into the performative art world during his time at the now shuttered legendary underground NYC nightclub, MOTHER during the early nineties. Bringing a wealth of immersive and sensual performance and creative direction experience together under one roof, The Story of Red promises to be a night like no other.

House of Yes opened its third iteration in Bushwick at the beginning of 2016 to become a beacon of NYC nightlife after shuttering its doors too soon in East Williamsburg three years ago. Original partners Anya Sapozhnikova and Kae Burke, teamed up with Ilan Telmont and Justin Ahiyon to build out the best venue ever with a little help from their friends, seeding a Kickstarter campaign for $92,340 (original goal: $60,000). The space includes an art-deco restaurant parlor, a spectacularly decorated warehouse-sized performance space, a courtyard with kitschy repurposed decor, and a clandestine mini-club. House of Yes is now the home of circus spectacles, immersive cinema, burlesque and cabaret shows, aerial extravaganzas, nightlife parties, morning raves, brunch, BBQs, and bubble baths, all with superior sound and exemplary service. Each night is specially curated to create an immersive experience with music, theatrics, and performances to titillate the senses and expand your mind, unlike any other venue in Brooklyn right now.
