American Candy to Present VERY FOREIGN AFFAIRS

AMERICAN CANDY examines the personal and political in Very Foreign Affairs, their latest original sketch offering. American politics are nutty to the bone. And this show is sure to please with their crowd winning combination of wit, hilarity and cheeky sex appeal. AMERICAN CANDY previewed this show at the Planet Connections Festivity last month and it quickly sold out. They're bringing it back, bigger and better on July 16th and 17th at the Actors Fund Arts Center.

AMERICAN CANDY has become one New York City's most popular sketch groups, with sold out performances and a very loyal fan base. Very Foreign Affairs combines brand new original live sketches along with very funny videos shot this spring in various locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn.

AMERICAN CANDY has built a successful series by defying the stereotype that all comedy is the provenance of young white men. With a multi-cultural cast and team of both female and male writers, the material has a wide appeal. AMERICAN CANDY has been offering sketch comedy to extremely receptive audiences in Manhattan and Brooklyn for over seven years. Past themes have included Freak Nation, The History of Sex, The Super 70s, The Wild, Wild West and Back to School. They packed two houses of musical performances at BAM Café and have played in numerous venues in Brooklyn and Manhattan. AMERICAN CANDY has an energetic troupe of talented actors and a strong base of writers and directors and is fast becoming a comedy institution in New York City.

AMERICAN CANDY is creating a strong online presence with new videos and blogs rolling out regularly on their website, theamericancandy.com. They also have three TV pilot episodes in the can, filmed at Manhattan Center's studios in late 2015.
