After an acclaimed run this summer on Governor's Island, Jody Oberfelder Projects once again invites audiences to experience their hearts from the inside out with a new production of 4CHAMBERS. Created, directed and choreographed by Jody Oberfelder, this immersive blend of dance, theater, film and visual installation runs January 22 - March 22, 2014, at Brooklyn's Arts@Renaissance.
4CHAMBERS is a sensorial journey into the human heart. The performance space is transformed into an intimate environment with corridors that function as arteries and veins leading to four discrete performance chambers. Guided by six cast members, an audience of 12 circulates through the space, monitoring their own hearts throughout this interactive multimedia performance.
4CHAMBERS features a rotating cast of live performers: Megan Bascom, Zachary Denison, Rayvawn Johnson, Joey Kipp, Mary Madsen, Shane Rutkowski, Mercedes Searer, Lily Bo Shapiro, and on-film performances by Ishmael Houston Jones, Edward Einhorn, Dr. Wendy Suzuki, Dr. Andre Fenton, Sarah Trignano, Lonnie Poupard, ChristinaNoel Reaves, Jake Szczypek, and Jessica Weiss video by Jason Bahling, lighting by Kryssy Wright, sets by Juergen Riehm, stage manager: Katie Houff, music by Matt McBane, Richard Einhorn, Jonathan Melville Pratt and dramaturgy by Pele Bauch.
