To Barbra With Love, the highly successful celebration of the inimitable Barbra Streisand, is set to be remounted in Brisbane with Camerata – Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra. Premiered with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra at Hamer Hall earlier this year, the concert was acclaimed by audiences and critics alike.

Two of Australia’s hottest musical theatre talents – Elise McCann (Matilda The Musical, Merrily We Roll Along) and Ryan Gonzalez (they/them) (Moulin Rouge! The MusicalJersey Boys) – join Australia’s own musical theatre royalty Caroline O’Connor and genre-hopping vocalist Katie Noonan for these not-to-be-missed concerts.

Under the baton of Vanessa Scammell, the symphony orchestras will deliver a program of Streisand’s most memorable songs, arranged by conductor and composer Nicholas Buc and directed by one of Australia’s most versatile choreographers and exciting new directors, Cameron Mitchell.

Celebrating her 80th birthday this year, Streisand is one of the best-selling female artists of all time, with an unparalleled career spanning six decades. Streisand’s record-breaking 52 gold and 31 platinum albums feature some of the world’s most loved songs from “The Way We Were” and “Evergreen” to “Send in the Clowns”, “You Don’t Bring Me Flowers” and “Guilty”.

Streisand is a multi-award-winning performer, director and producer of stage and screen, and one of only a few elite artists to hold the rare EGOT (Emmy, Golden Globe, Oscar and Tony). She has worked with legendary composers including Alan and Marilyn Bergman and the late great Stephen Sondheim, whose combined catalogues of memorable compositions are timeless treasures of the canon.

Other recent roles include Mac Sam in the Little Theatre of Virginia Beach’s production of The Miss Firecracker Contest and Benvolio in Shakespeare in the Plot’s Romeo & Juliet. He would like to thank the cast and crew for being such a pleasure to work with, and the audience for coming to the show!

Nicky Holroyd
My first taste of stepping on stage was doing mostly short form improv and some long form. I am a proud cast alumni of the annual “The 666: A Horror Anthology Show” at Push Comedy Theater, where I got my start/crash course in theatrical productions. And finally my most recent show to date was a WWII era drama at LTN, titled “The Ribbon Mill.”

Drew Willis

Sidney Redlitch
Present Laughter and An American Daughter at LTVB. One Slight Hitch, The Ribbon Mill, and Pippin at LTN.

"Morrie" Cormorant Stein

Pyewacket
Bell, Book, and Candle is my first show ever -- but my adopted family is very theatrical.

She thinks this is the next best thing.

Leah Beth Thompson

Assistant Director
I have a bachelor’s degree in Theatre from Mississippi University for Women. I have performed in various roles in both stage and film in the Hampton Roads area. I’m hoping to start looking at graduate schools for acting/directing soon.

Kari VanderLaan

Stage Manager
Kari is thrilled to be making her debut as a LTN collaborator. She was most recently stage manager/light and sound board operator for Race at The Generic Theater. She is incredibly proud of this cast and crew and hopes this show awakens a little magic in each of you.
