Chess The Musical at Concert Hall, QPAC

Natalie Bassingthwaighte, Paulini, Rob Mills, Alexander Lewis and Mark Furze star in a gripping concert-style production of Chess The Musical touring Australia.

With music by Benny Andersson and Björn Ulvaeus (ABBA), and lyrics and story by Tim Rice (The Lion King, EVITA), Chess The Musical boasts a powerful and impactful rock-opera score featuring smash-hits “I Know Him So Well” and “One Night In Bangkok”.

Inspired by extraordinary real-life events, Chess The Musical tells a story of a complex love triangle combined with dramatic political intrigue, set against the background of the Cold War.

Directed by acclaimed Tyran Parke (Barnum, Follies, Broadway to La Scala) and featuring the West-End orchestrations played by a live on stage orchestra and chorus conducted by David Piper (Wicked), this powerful production of Chess The Musical will be the music theatre event of 2021.
