Fans of the top rating ABC KIDS TV series Lah-Lah's Adventures will be practicing their dance moves and getting ready to 'Shake It Like This' when Lah-Lah Live in Concert comes to Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) with nine shows from 30 September to 2 October 2015.
Following sell-out shows across NSW and ACT, stripy-socked singing sensation Lah-Lah and her Big Live Band featuring Mister Saxophone, Squeezy Sneezy the piano accordion, Tom Tom on drums, Buzz the Bandleader and Lola the Dancing Double Bass will take their award winning, live music experience to QPAC's Cremorne Theatre stage for the first time ever.
Tina Harris, who plays Lah-Lah said: "I'm so excited about touring our award winning live show across Queensland this September and the response from families on social media has been amazing."
"There's a lot of Lah-Lah love from families of fans across Queensland and we can't wait to meet them all."
Lah-Lah's Adventures TV series Co-creator, Producer and Director Deb Ryan said that the show provides an invaluable tool for children to appreciate all forms of music and encourages them to play instruments.
"Music is such an important part of children's education and we are inundated with messages from parents thanking us for producing such a wonderful show that their children love to watch. We are thrilled!" she said.
Lah-Lah Live In Concert will delight Queensland audiences and have the whole family up singing and dancing with the band that 'jams all over the land'. The concert is a spectacularly fun, interactive and educational 45-minute show that will have the kids grinning and shimmying from go to whoa.
Tina is a respected member of the arts and music industry in her own right, having established a string of successful music education schools in Sydney and performed with Opera Australia. She also provided backing vocals to touring artists such as Michael Bublé.
Her husband Mark Harris, who plays Buzz the Bandleader in the show, performs with ARIA-Award winning band Monsieur Camembert and respected jazz band Baby et Lulu. Together they run Lah-Lah Productions, which along with Stella Projects, brings the TV series and band's popular music clips to life on stage.
Their new DVD Lah-Lah's Adventures - Let's Put On a Show was released this month and is distributed with other successful titles through Roadshow Entertainment.
Fans are advised to get their tickets to these special live shows in QPAC's Cremorne Theatre before they sell out. To book go to qpac.com.au or phone 136 246.
