Touring her show for the first time since its 2016 premier in Tasmania at MOFO, conducted by Benjamin Northey, Kate's soaring vocals will also be accompanied by visuals from multi-award winning Australian director, Amy Gebhardt.
This special concert event, accompanied by Camerata of St John's in a special expanded format, will present audiences with an orchestral re-imagining of Kate's celebrated catalogue, featuring favourites from her album O Vertigo!, new material and songs from her most recent Helpmann Award theatre performance The Rabbits.
With a voice that is nothing short of monumental, Kate comes armed with triple-octave pipes that effortlessly switch between screwball lyrebird calls to hymnal-quiet hushes, before breaking out into operatic, glass-breaking siren calls.
Her voice will be perfectly matched by QPAC's Company in Residence, the highly acclaimed Camerata of St John's - Queensland's Chamber Orchestra, who have, over the years, established themselves has a chamber orchestra of national significance, and formed a thriving, refreshing and acclaimed voice within the Australian arts landscape.
Camerata of St John's will be joined by their extended family of winds, brass and percussion for this very special event.
Kate Miller-Heidke and the Camerata of St John's are set to deliver an electrifying special event for one night only in the Concert Hall, QPAC on Friday 10 March 2017. Tickets on sale now via qpac.com.au or 136 246.
