Audiences of all ages have connected with its universal message while being swept up in the incredible music and roof-raising performances from our incomparable cast. I know Brisbane audiences are going to embrace this huge-hearted hit and I speak for the show's original producers, Daryl Roth and Hal Luftig, when I say that we are all incredibly excited to be bringing this show to QPAC."

Kinky Boots takes audiences on a hilarious journey from a bankrupt shoe factory to the runways of Milan. Callum Francis and Toby Francis lead the company as Lola and Charlie, the fabulous entertainer in need of some sturdy stilettos and the young man he inspires with an outrageous idea to revamp the family business.

British star Callum Francis made his Australian debut directly from London, where he wowed audiences as the understudy Lola on the West End stage and performed in UK productions of The Lion King, Ghost and Miss Saigon.

Rounding out the cast are a mix of accomplished musical theatre performers and exciting fresh faces, including Sophie Wright (Lauren), Joe Kosky (Don), Teagan Wouters (Nicola) and Nathan Carter (George), along with Blake Appelqvist, James Delisco Beeks, comedy veteran Glenn Butcher, Hilary Cole, Jessica Condon, Denise Devlin, Euan Doidge, Daniel Downing, Bronte Florian, Linden Furnell, Ryan Gonzalez, Samm Hagen, Anthony Harkin, Nicholas Kyriacou, Jenni Little, Liam Peel, Emma Powell, Matthew Predny, Eric Rasmussen, Mark Simpson, Mark Stefanoff and Mitchell Woodcock.

Kinky Boots is inspired by a true story and based on the 2005 British film starring Joel Edgerton. It opened on Broadway in April 2013 scooping six Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Original Score Written for the Theatre, and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theatre Album. The blockbuster hit opened in London's West End in September 2015, winning three Olivier Awards including Best New Musical.

Kinky Boots made its Australian premiere in Melbourne in October 2016 and will play a Sydney season at the Capitol Theatre from 12 April.
