The Braintree High School Theatre Guild presents the revised contemporary version of the
musical comedy, “The Unsinkable Molly Brown” with music and lyrics by Meredith Wilson and
a new book and lyrics by Dick Scanlan.. Directed by Rolf Carlson and technical director Charles
Ferguson, this show follows the remarkable journey of Margaret “Molly” Brown that includes
her surviving the sinking of the Titanic. It depicts Molly’s life from being a ‘boyish' resident of
Colorado, to her becoming a sophisticated, prominent social activist in Denver. It also tells of her
loving yet chaotic relationship with businessman and husband, JJ brown. This show is a
celebration of empowerment, community, and how one woman's voice can make a difference. It
is meaningful and fun for all ages!
