Matt Lorenz, known as The Suitcase Junket, will perform at Club Passim on September 28. A one-man band, Lorenz combines throat singing and slide guitar, creating a unique sound from a myriad of instruments, many of which he constructs from discarded materials. Since 2009, he has gained a devoted following, reflecting the warmth and wildness of his music that straddles the lines between folk, blues, and psych-rock. Lorenz, who also sings in the trio Rusty Belle with his sister Kate, has received acclaim from NPR and features on renowned playlists including Spotify's Best of Folk & Americana.
