This is a fun evening of theater featuring a “musical within a comedy,” a send-up of the old 1920s jazz musicals with a little something for everyone: A starlet is giving up her stage career for marriage, her producer is to stop the wedding so that he doesn’t lose his leading lady, some loveable gangsters, a harried best man, a groom on roller skates, and a “drowsy” i.e. tipsy chaperone. Narrated all by a man in his living room chair, who brings this musical within a musical to life. It’s pure fun!
