The Brightness of Light is a commissioned piece by Kevin Puts that brings to life the romance between painter Georgia O’Keeffe and her husband, Alfred Stieglitz. With soprano Renée Fleming and baritone Rod Gilfry in the lead roles, the production will feature music accompanied by projections designed by Wendall K. Harrington. The Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Andris Nelsons, will present this work from November 21 to 23, 2024, as part of its 2024-25 season.
